Although he's technically a Canadian, Richie Hawtin will forever be associated with putting his beloved Detroit on the dance music map. Along with fellow Detroit pioneer Carl Craig, Hawtin helped break the second wave of Detroit techno. From north of Detroit in Windsor, Ontario, Hawtin has been a DJ, a producer, a record label owner, and a flag-waver for the underground Detroit scene which is only now getting the respect it deserves in the United States. Hawtin started his career DJing at underground parties in clubs like Detroit's Shelter. There he met his partner, John Acquaviva, and together they launched the influential Plus 8 Recordings label.Hawtin created a unique techno sound, which is regarded as synonymous with the city of Detroit. That sound, electro house, is very minimal, yet highly danceable. He is known for his use of the Roland TB-303 bass machine and that sound has become inseparable from quality acid house and electro recordings. These days, Hawtin kicks around with a TR-909 drum machine. Hawtin signed a record deal with Nova Mute in 1993, and is considered a star in Europe, where he has enjoyed success with his project, Plastikman.In 1994, rumor has it that Hawtin was scheduled to perform at a rave held inside the Brooklyn Bridge. Allegedly, while crossing the border from Canada, guards stopped him, assuming he was attempting to work illegally in the US due to the massive amount of equipment in his car. Supposedly he went home and recorded a set to DAT and shipped it to the promoters. To this day, no one can say for certain whether that headlining slot was live or on tape.Today, he has gained the respect of a larger US audience. In May 2000, Hawtin performed at the first Detroit Electronic Festival alongside Derrick May, Juan Atkins and other techno masterminds. More than 200,000 people attended from all over the world

When it comes to a career the magnitude of Paul Oakenfold it’s hard to encompass one of the true legends of electronic music into just words. For over 3 decades he has elevated and shaped an entire genre and remains one of the leading forces in the global music scene today.His most recent works have taken him from the DJ booth of the worlds hottest nightspots and festivals to the studio producing soundtracks for Hollywood blockbuster movies. His diversity in artistry and ability has earned him accolades from critics and fans alike. Garnering him not 1 but 2 Grammy Nominations for his works.But lets take a step back. The son of a musician, Paul came up as a young DJ in the late '70s spinning Funk in Covent Garden. Not what some might have expected from one of Trances preeminent masters. But he knew then music would be his life. In the '80s 2 life-changing trips took place. The first in 1984 where he spent several months living in New York City working as A&R man for the famed Champion Records signing DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, as well as Salt-n-Pepa. He also became promoter and British agent for the Beastie Boys and Run-D.M.C.The second trip and more contemporary influence was in 1987 which brought Paul to the White Isle of Ibiza. Here he discovered the Balearic sound that flowed through the Ibiza air at clubs such as Amnesia. Inspired, he took the music and experiences back to the UK and became its ambassador. Paul returned often holding residencies at Amnesia and Pacha in Ibiza. Around the same time Ministry Of Sound in London was opening and tauted Paul as their first resident. However it was his famed residency at UK super-club Cream in Liverpool that brought Paul global respect as a master of his art. It was some say the catalyst to what has made him a touring legend.This residency was celebrated through the Grammy nominated 2004 compilation ‘Creamfields’ (Paul went on to receive a second Grammy nomination in 2007 with his artist album, “A Lively Mind” and then again in 2009 for his production work with Madonna).Oakenfold’s stature as a DJ and entertainer has taken him beyond the normal club and festival circuit, playing landmark gigs that have changed the face of electronic music. Vitaliy Babiy, also known as Spartaque, is a Ukrainian DJ and a sound producer. In 2005 he performed to a 30,000 crowd on Jeans DJ-Parade in Kharkiv and took second place. It is the event that launched his career. Since then he was playing in local night clubs and in 2006 he became a resident DJ at Kharkiv leading underground-club “Maska”. In summer 2007 Ukrainian label “VIRUS Music” took a notice of Spartaque and offered him to perform at Global Gathering Ukraine. He was a worthy representative of his country and his set was appreciated as a real success. Thereafter, he moved to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine and played on tours in Ukraine and CIS.According to the 2007-2008 TOP DJ (official Ukrainian DJ rating) voting results Spartaque took the third place in the category Best DJ and the first place in Best Track category with his work “Zefir”. In 2008-2009 he won awards in three of four categories, among which there were the first place in Best DJ category, Best Radio Show and Best Track. Andrea Roma dj-producer-musician, started studying piano at the age of ten, realising his first compositions. However he has always been attracted by Dance music in general, ranging from the hardest electronic music to the sweet notes of Trance music; thanks to this passion he started playing as a disk jockey in many discotheques. During the 2005 he starts playing in some of Rome’s most important clubs and he gains the Master Class Sound Engineering degree, he enters the professional discographic market. He begins to collaborate with many Italian and foreign labels, working both as an author and artist together with great international artists. In 2006 enters the Mystika Records staff, at first as dj/producer, an then as A&R and label manager. One year later he reaches the first achievements as a dj on the national level playing in various Italian clubs. In the summer of the same year he starts the “Delv & Debox” project taking the European market in aim, giving breathe to sounds from minimal to techno passing by electro and chill-out melodies, on foreign labels like Art Minimal Berlin. The 2007 closes with 8 ep released by Andrea Roma and many Remixes. In 2008 things get serious for Mystika Records as it become one of most important Italian labels, with many collaborations with great Italian artists. European collaborations continue with the release of “Alkaline ep” on Noir Music (label producing artists like Deadmau5, Piemont, Noir, Patrick la Funk, Mark Mendes ecc.).
